Organisation information
Providence Row is an east London based charity providing emergency help and long-term support for people who are homeless in London.
Website details
Providence Row was keen to use photography to help inform their target audience about their range of services supporting the homeless in East London.
It was essential that the finished photographs were very high quality, positive and inspiring. To help capture the organisation enthusiasm it was agreed that the photographs would need to be exciting, active shots of people.
After some discussion it was felt that we would not be able to achieve our goals by using stock images, so a professional photograph was hired to arrange a photo shoot and produce a number of dynamic full body photographs.
A portable studio was set up on the premises and Providence Row users were invited to have a photograph taken that would appear on the finished website. The photo shoot was a great success and a selection of the photographs can now be seen (fading in) in the right hand column of each page.
The website also features, news, multimedia, a jobs page and a simple online shop selling cards.
The website is built on top of a Standards Compliant Content Management System that enables staff to edit/upload content and manage the news sections.
