Our approach...
We are not going to design you a great website: we will however create a great website for your customers.
We Listen and We Learn
Too often websites are designed to mirror the companies' paper based brochure, the websites structure is poorly thought through, its content applied as an afterthought and what is worse... the customer's views are forgotten.
Good groundwork is essential and our first stage is to spend time listening and learning about you and your customers. We need to understand what makes your customers tick and what makes your company unique.
Finally, we need to understand your aims and objectives and how you wish to apply them online. With careful planning, consideration and recognition of the needs of your visitors we are well on the way to creating a stylish, user-friendly, customer-led website.
Logical Architecture
Picture this: You enter a large department store wishing to purchase a particular product. Stepping into the main entrance you read a well displayed sign that leads you to the appropriate floor. Further signs emerge, just where you expect them to be, you follow, moving deeper into the shop and towards your goal. You locate your product, pay, and leave the shop a happy visitor.
Like a well sign-posted department store, a well-designed website will draw the visitor deeper in; they will feel comfortable, engaged, and in control. They will know where they are at all times and a logical architecture will enable the user to easily locate what they need.
This, all done within a few mouse clicks and without turning to the websites search engine!
Content and Design
Reading from a computer screen is different from reading from a book or a newspaper; most of your visitors will 'scan a webpage' looking for headings, keywords, or phrases. With this in mind the textual content will need be to the point, easy to read and concise. If you have a lot of content, it will need to be organised and hyper-linked into manageable chunks.
The graphical design of your website will need to reflect the essence of your company, it will need to look sharp, display good clear relevant information and be easy to navigate. Your website will also need to load fast and respond much the same via a 56k modem as it would broadband.
Finally, after a rigorous web browser and platform-testing period, your websites keywords and metatags will be optimised ensuring good rankings on the Internet's main search engines and Internet directories.
